Shrimp And The Yellow Sauce

Today is another foodie friends friday and there is as usual another linking party going on. I have been away from blogging for a quite and long time and this friday I have got the scope to present another of my recently cooked recipes to you. This is something cooked with fish and to name it internationall we all can call it the Yellow Sauce Shrimp.

yellow sauce shrimp

Shrimps are easily available here, and in my home they are made nearly every alternate days as dinner or lunch. This one  was cooked on lunch as  I had a very strong urge of not going to office that day and treat myself with delightful food.

The procedure for making the Shrimp along with the yellow sauce is easy and inexpensive. All you require is:
  1. 10-15 Shrimps
  2. 3tbsp butter
  3. 1tbsp of turmeric powder
  4. 1tbsp of cayenne pepper
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1/2 tbsp of sugar or substitute
  7. 1 1/2 tbsp garam masala
  8. 3 tbsp of fresh cream
  9. 3 tbsp of coconut water
  10. 2-3tbsp of onion paste
  • Fry the shrimps in the butter till they are pink. Add turmeric, sugar, garam masala, cayenne pepper, onion paste and stir for 5-6 minutes. Remove the shrimps slowly without removing anything else.
  • Add the cream and stir one minute then add the coconut water and let it boil for 2 minutes. If needed add water accordingly to make the sauce little thinner.
  • Add the shrimps and simmer for a few minutes. Serve it hot.
